Doug Reed is a cybersecurity and technology executive with over 30 years of experience building and securing some of the most demanding platforms in fintech, healthtech, and proptech. He founded Linda Mar Associates to bring enterprise-grade security leadership to growing companies that need it most — without the cost and overhead of a full-time hire.
Before founding Linda Mar, Doug served as the first CISO at Carta — one of the leading equity management platforms in the US — where he also led a 100-person engineering organization. He has built information security programs from the ground up, led SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI audits, and managed the security of platforms processing billions of dollars in transactions.
Today, Doug and his team are trusted security partners for companies across fintech, healthtech, and proptech — embedding into their organizations as fractional CISOs, running compliance programs, and building InfoSec practices that scale.
Doug is also co-founder of B2ai, an agentic AI company focused on building intelligent automation for regulated industries where security and data privacy are non-negotiable.
